Our Story

How it began

Traveling the world for many years, we encountered many beautiful items made by local craftspeople. Most had learned these skills passed down from generations and with materials unique to their region. As we got to know the locals more, we wanted to find a way to share their skills with the world. So, starting with local friends in Ubud, Bali, The Wood Bowls was born.

Our goal is to continue to find and work directly with locals across the globe who would like to share their skilled pieces with others. This in turn also helps sustainably grow local businesses.

One Tree Planted

We plant a tree for every purchase!

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature and biodiversity. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.
